In a 7-Session Artistic Journey Through the Mind and Eyes of an Artist you will unlock Your Creative Vision and Walk Away with Infinite Ideas for Future Projects.

Session 1: My Iconic Image Generation
Start your journey by uncovering the images that define your unique artistic voice. Through introspective exercises, you’ll identify the symbols and motifs that resonate deeply with you, laying the foundation for your future creative projects.

Session 2: The Artist’s Gaze
Learn to observe the world around you like an artist—focusing on details such as light, shadow, and texture. During a walk through the local environment, you’ll gather inspiration, which you’ll transform into an abstract collage that captures the essence of what you see. This process will teach you how to always find new ideas from your surroundings.

Session 3: The Language of Color
Explore how color shapes mood and emotion in your work. You’ll build a palette that speaks to your artistic intent, crafting collages that evoke deep emotional responses. By mastering color, you’ll have another tool to generate fresh ideas and direction for your projects.

Session 4: Embracing Negative Space
Explore the power of what isn’t there. In this session, you’ll learn how to use negative space to create tension and balance in your work. This approach will help you think more deeply about composition, giving you yet another avenue to explore in your future creations.

Session 5: The Art of Composition
Master the principles of composition to guide the viewer’s eye through your work. You’ll create dynamic collages that not only showcase your subject but tell a visual story. Strong compositions will give you endless possibilities for developing projects, as you’ll have the foundation to build your ideas on.

Session 6: Visual Storytelling
Learn how to tell powerful stories through images, without relying on words. You’ll create a sequential collage that tells a visual narrative, exploring the use of symbolism and juxtaposition. This exercise will fill your journal with storytelling ideas, ensuring you always have a new narrative to explore.

Session 7: Perception vs. Reality
Push the boundaries of reality in this final session, exploring surrealism and abstraction. You’ll create collages that challenge the viewer’s perception, using gel prints and found objects to alter reality. This exploration will unlock an infinite source of creativity, as you’ll learn how to manipulate perception to spark new artistic ideas.

Supply List

Image sorting:
50 magazine images ( I'll do a short video on how this is to be done prior to the workshop)

Gel Printing:
Gel plate 8x10 or 9x12 no larger
Paper of choice to include vintage ephemera etc
Acrylic paints of choice
Brayer

Journal making:
Khadi Paper (https://a.co/d/hmtr8vw) or similar this is a 20 pack we will use 10 sheets I like the thickness and versatility of mediums can be used.
Waxed Sewing thread
Sewing tapes/canvas fabric strips. ( I can supply these)
Sewing needle
Book awl or /Japanese screw punch
Glue sticks I like Pritt,Giotto or UHU or any comparable that can be found in Europe
Metal ruler

Any other supplies that participants like to use and travel with for workshops such as:
Pens
Pencils
Watercolors
Posca pens or acrylic pens etc
Alcohol inks etc

What is not included:

• Your airline ticket, including any baggage fees.

**Airport pick-up to and from the house is only for indicated dates. Should you plan to arrive earlier to stay at the hotel you will be responsible for your own transfer fees. We can help you arrange your transfer and extra night if required.

** Please note that the house does NOT have an elevator. The workshop will be held in the garden floor and rooms are in the main and first floor.

Deposit is: 1150 Euros and is non-refundable upon registration.

Early Bird Price is 3800 Euros and is until December 1st, 2024.

Regular Price is 4050 Euros and begins on December 2nd, 2024.

Full Balance is due from everyone by March 1st, 2025.
